Keep your green, stay clean – Turn organization into cash
Just like many others out there I become overwhelmed from time to time. Some recent events and an ever busier career has definitely thrown me for a lurch. However, tonight I bit the bullet and got it down. I went through the piles of papers and reciepts. I made a pile of shredding that I will dispose of with my cross-cut shredder and found some important pieces of mail that had gone missing.
I still have some mail to go through but the mountains of paperwork years old is behind me. And I cannot tell you how relieved i feel now. I may be a little tired in the morning but I will no longer feel like there is this impossible task. And with the stress of that gone i can focus on other important issues like budgeting and tracking expenses.
I know from past experience that when I am budgeting and keeping track of my purchases I tend to spend less. I also tend to spend wiser. There is a great money management program that is free , full of features and you can get to it by clicking the link in my downloads section. It is important to do these two money exercises, and the benefit will hopefully be more money in your checking account.
So get organized, and this goes for the rest of your life, just not the piles of papers on your desk. Once you are organized make a budget. Once you have a budget track your expenses , record every purchase so you can see where the money flows. Remember it may seem daunting on first but once things are in place it should only be a small part of your day going forward to do your money exercises.
