Indiana Planned Parenthood to Sell Gift Certificates
I realize this is off topic but I had to post on this story. I am an educated person though I do not watch mainstream news channels for the most part. Many would say, how could I keep up with what is going on in the world?, I do. Come on, with today’s technology it is near impossible to avoid. However, I find most news to be very biased, negative, misleading, etc. This is mainly because the news like any business is trying to make money and sell advertising. I digress though, back to the point.
The way they introduce this story is by basically saying this Indiana Planned Parenthood is selling abortions for Christmas. They may have not worded it that way but it was inferred. Regardless of your position, pro life or pro choice, I am fairly sure their intention is not to push the service of abortion on all the pregnant mothers of Indiana. Last I checked gift certificates are good for any goods or services sold by the issuing business. Times are hard and Planned Parenthood has expenses to meet. In a perfect world we would not need Planned Parenthood but that is not our reality. So they are trying to meet expenses by front loading on revenues through gift certificates. Whether you agree or not there are people working in those offices with families to feed and they need to get paid.
